Nursing lecturer hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Event in Utica

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and according to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 8 U.S. women (roughly 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime.
That's why on October 18 at 4 p.m., SUNY Poly Nursing Lecturer and alum Bikash Regmi and SUNY Poly student Kumari Regmi are hosting a breast cancer awareness event at the Midtown Community Center, 43 Scott Street in Utica.
The guest speaker for the event is Rene Madore MS, FNP.
The event is free and open to the public.
