SUNY Polytechnic Institute and AIM Photonics joined PhoeniX Software to announce the company’s membership in AIM Photonics. PhoeniX Software is the premier vendor of photonic design automation (PDA) software used to synthesise integrated photonic circuits. The company is unique in the photonics industry as it enables photonic designers to work in a high-level technology-agnostic view and then synthesse the layout of their photonic integrated circuits (PICs) to different target fabrication processes. This capability is strategic to the AIM initiative as it enables photonic designers to quickly prototype their designs by targeting any one of AIM’s photonic fabrication processes for layout and assembly in an AIM multi-project wafer (MPW) run.
