To the SUNY Poly Campus Community:

Please be advised that we have been notified of a possible Statewide electric demand reduction request.

High temperatures & humidity levels will often strain the electric distribution grid system.  These weather conditions will sometimes prompt an electric consumption reduction request.  This request could come today or tomorrow.  We usually receive at least a 2 hour prior notification that we will promptly pass along to the campus community.

If you are on campus Friday, 7/22, be advised that during a reduction request period the air conditioning systems will be operational only in temperature sensitive, critical areas, requiring cooling. All non-essential electric loads will need to be reduced.
