Each year, up to two SUNY Poly students are nominated and selected to receive recognition for their outstanding academic performance and integration of co-curricular accomplishments in areas such as leadership, community service,  the arts (creative or performing), athletics and/or career achievement through the Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence. This award is the highest honor bestowed upon a student by the State University of New York.

SUNY Poly faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate outstanding students for consideration of this prestigious award.  To nominate a student, please submit the student’s name, contact information, and a summary of his or her accomplishments by Wednesday, January 7, 2015.Nominations may be forwarded to Marybeth Lyons or Abbie Gorczynski in Student Affairs. To be eligible, a student must graduate between June 2014 and May 2015 and have achieved outstanding academic performance as well as co-curricular achievements.
