  ITS has recently completed work requested by SUNY to federate user access across SUNY campuses. As a result, we have received reports that these changes are affecting the log-in flow for SUNY services (HR portal, etc.). Users that are experiencing issues logging into SUNY services should reset their passwords in Banner. This password change is required to propagate the required information and allow federated logins to function correctly. Please allow up to 15 minutes for these changes to occur. Please follow these instructions to change your Banner password:


1. Go to https://banner.sunyit.edu and click Enter Secure Area.
2. Enter your SitNet ID or University Number and click on the Forgot Pin button.
3. You will be prompted to answer the Security question that you created when the
    account was 
activated.
4. Click the Submit Answer button.
5. You must now enter a new PIN per the Password Policy found here: 
    
6. Click the Rest PIN button after you re-enter the new PIN.
