I wanted to share with you an article published in the Rome Sentinel :

A “Small Business Basics Series” course for entrepreneurs and small business owners, including six sessions over a two-week period, will be offered at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Marcy beginning March 15 at 5 p.m. The course, presented by the Small Business Development Center, will continue March 16-17 and 22-24 at 5 p.m. each day. The fee per session is $25, while the fee for the entire series is $125, payable at the first session.

The six stand-alone module sessions plus available one-on-one counseling comprise a full course to qualify for a certificate of achievement in entrepreneurship. They cover essentials for starting and operating a successful enterprise, plus the process for expanding an existing venture, the center said.

Pre-registration is required, by phone at 792-7547 or through  palazzp@sunypoly.edu  by email.

The sessions include Welcome to entrepreneurship; Marketing, social media and government contracting; Business insurance and legal compliance; Recordkeeping and human resources; Funding your business: fact vs. fiction; and Building the business plan. Each session is taught by a development center advisor and/or consultant with expertise in the subject.
