Senior students in the SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s nurse practitioner program raised about $700 to benefit the Adopt a Family program at Kids Oneida, the college announced.
The money was to help two families afford gifts and other necessities for their children, said SUNY Poly.
A presentation to Kids Oneida of gifts purchased was scheduled this afternoon at the college.
The money was raised through student donations, which was enough to purchase gifts for their “adopted family” through Kids Oneida and also to assist another family in need whose father died unexpectedly last fall, leaving behind two children, SUNY Poly said.
