First Niagara Bank has awarded SUNY Polytechnic Institute a $25,000 grant to support the ongoing mentoring work of SUNY Poly’s Career Services Center, the college announced.

The funding will assist Career Services mentoring programs for all SUNY Poly students, the college said.

SUNY Poly has campuses in Marcy and Albany, among its locations.

The mentoring programs help students gain access to the professional workplace via site visits, informational interviews, and job shadowing.

The grant will also enable opportunities for workshops, panels, career services presentations and assistance with other career services events, SUNY Poly said.

“We are honored to have been selected as a recipient” of the grant, said SUNY Poly President and CEO Alain Kaloyeros.
