“The SUNY Poly family joins our larger community in mourning the loss of so many lives as a result of the tragic event in Schoharie, and we are especially saddened to learn about the passing of Erin Vertucci McGowan, who had previously attended SUNY Polytechnic Institute as a student in our Interdisciplinary Studies program,” said SUNY Poly Interim President Dr. Grace Wang. “On behalf of our institution, I send my heartfelt condolences to Erin’s family and friends—and to everyone who has been impacted. SUNY Poly is ready to provide any resources, including counseling and other support, to anyone in our SUNY Poly community who has been affected.”
