Students invited to Munson-Williams-Proctor Art Institute exhibit

Students are invited to Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute on
Tuesday, September 20 at 12:30 pm
to view Portraits of Hope: Faces of Refugee Resettlement in Central
New York, by faculty member Kathryn Stam and staff member Lynne
Browne. The cost is $5 per student payable at the door. Dr. Stam and
Lynne Browne will give a personal tour of their exhibit. The $5 fee
includes entrance into the
Steve McCurry photo exhibit
. McCurry is the photographer best known for his photo of "Afghan
Girl" on the cover of National Geographic magazine.
The Cultural Performing Arts Committee has 20 free tickets available for students who would like to attend. Tickets are available at the opening reception for The Faces of Resettlement in CNY on Wednesday, September 14 at the Gannett Gallery in Kunsela Hall and are on a first-come first-served basis. Kathryn Stam will drive a SUNY Poly van to the exhibit if you would like to attend, but do not have transportation. If you go there on your own, please meet us by 12:30 at the back door, parking lot side of the museum (310 Genesee St., Utica, NY) to get your ticket. You must sign up at the reception on Sept. 14 (or contact Dr. Stam) as seating capacity is limited.
