SUNY Poly collaborative research published in Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications
Dr. Carlo Cafaro, SUNY Poly applied mathematics assistant professor, collaborated with Pedro Pessoa, Ph.D. candidate in physics at the University at Albany, on a statistical-quantum physics work published in Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and Its Applications by the Elsevier publishing company.
The research paper, “Information geometry for Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein quantum statistics,” focuses on an information geometric description of the quantum-mechanical Bose-Einstein condensation phenomenon based on the concept of scalar curvature of the curved statistical manifold underlying the physics of the process.
