Jeelka Solanki presenting

For presentation on the “effect of resistance variability in Vector Matrix Multiplication operations of 1T1R ReRAM crossbar arrays using an embedded test platform”

ALBANY, NY – SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering Doctoral Candidate Jeelka Solanki was recognized at the recently held Microelectronics Design and Test Symposium (MDTS) in Albany, NY, for best paper/presentation. There were more than 20 presentations made over the course of the three-day event.

Solanki presented on the “effect of resistance variability in Vector Matrix Multiplication (VMM) operations of 1T1R ReRAM crossbar arrays using an embedded test platform.” Done in collaboration with and funded by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Solanki’s work focuses on designing electronic hardware to program packaged Resistive Random-Access Memory (ReRAM) devices. Solanki designed the microcontroller-based embedded hardware used for the research project. Future work will focus on the application of VMM for image comparison and image processing.

Solanki was one of five members of Dr. Nathaniel Cady’s research group that presented at the symposium. Cady is the Interim Vice President of Research at SUNY Poly, as well as the Empire Innovation Professor of Nanobioscience and Executive Director of the SUNY Applied Materials Research Institute (SAMRI).
