SUNY Poly Launches LiveChat Service to Provide Real-Time Answers
SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) this week launched its LiveChat service to provide parents, students, faculty, and staff, with information and real-time answers to questions on a variety of topics. The service can be accessed by clicking on the blue “Chat With Us” box located at the bottom right corner of the institutional website: sunypoly.edu as well as all official university web pages.
The online service, staffed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, is launched as SUNY Poly transitions to distance education and is intended to serve the entire institutional community. LiveChat spans the university’s entire website and offers users guidance from the following offices and departments:
- Academic Services
- College of Nanoscale Science & Engineering (CNSE)
- Financial Aid
- Undergraduate Admissions
- Graduate Admissions
- Student Accounts & Billing
- Information Technology Services (ITS) Helpdesk
During SUNY Poly’s transition to distance learning, individuals may also ask a general question if seeking information that does not fall under one of the currently listed categories.
Questions submitted outside normal LiveChat hours will generate a “ticket” for the SUNY Poly team to receive each inquiry and respond within normal operating hours.
