Cities and businesses through out the Mohawk Valley participated in the Meetings Industry Day. It's designed to showcase the impact of business meetings and conferences. Dozens of businesses represented in the Rome and Utica area gathered at SUNY Poly for an opportunity to network. They also offered tours of Quad C, the nanotech center at the college.

"With everything that's going on in our region, the emergence of nano technology, growth and development, we want to position ourselves not just on a local stage, but on a global stage," said Ray Durso of The Genesis Group. "That we are open for business and we welcome people to have their business and their events, right here in the Mohawk Valley region."

This is the first time the Mohawk Valley has taken part in Meetings Industry Day.
