It's “NANOvember" at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica.

The public had the chance to learn about nanotechnology-related activites at the institute's "community day" Saturday.

Visitors could listen to presentations, ask questions, and tour the first floor of Quad-C.

Members of the NanoCenter, General Electric, and Mohawk Valley EDGE were there to answer questions. it also was an opportunity for the public to see what progress has been made.

Steve DiMeo, Mohawk Valley EDGE: “We're actually doing some of the work early on for the ams project, such as the geotechnical analysis, and the stripping on the side, for a construction start which is slated for the spring.”

NANOvember is part of SUNY Poly's state-wide celebration of nano-inspired events.
