Japanese technology also at work in N.M.

SUNY Polytechnic Institute's new ZEN building isn't the only building that Japan's New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization, also known as NEDO, has been involved with in the United States.

Last week, officials from NEDO, the Japanese consulate and the Shimizu Corp. celebrated the completion of the ZEN building, which offsets all of its energy supply with efficiency upgrades, fuel cells and solar panels. That is why the building is called ZEN, which stands for zero energy nanotechnology.
