New York state's solar industry added 2,070 jobs in 2014, according to the Solar Foundation, a group that tracks such data.
That pushed New York into fourth place in the United States in terms of the total number of solar jobs per state, with 7,280.
When you look a little closer, New York's solar industry is rather average.
