The Albany-based research institute is seeking developers and construction contractors to build a new center in the Plattsburgh area.

SUNY Poly published a request for proposals Monday in the New York State Contract Reporter.

Here is what the institute’s real estate arm, Fort Schuyler Management Corp., is looking for:

Fort Schuyler Management Corporation hereby solicits proposals, in conjunction with the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, from local Developers and/or Construction Contractors in the Greater Plattsburgh Area to enter into a strategic partnership for potential research, technology outreach, business development, manufacturing, and education and training ventures (or a Subset of Such).

SUNY Poly has several research centers across upstate, but this would be the furthest north that the institute has sought to build.
