This month, SUNY Poly’s Title IX Working Group would like to take the opportunity to present SUNY Poly’s Sexual Violence Victim/Survivor Bill of Rights.  The Bill of Rights was developed by the State University of New York as part of the new SUNY-wide uniform sexual violence prevention and response policies that were passed by SUNY Board of Trustees’ in October 2014 at the request of Governor Cuomo and under the guidance of Chancellor Nancy Zimpher.  The Bill of Rights outlines the rights, protections, and remedies available to victims/survivors, and ensures that victims/survivors will be treated with respect and dignity when disclosing crimes of sexual violence.

SUNY Poly’s Sexual Violence Victim/Survivor Bill of Rights, provided in the attachment to this announcement, will be prominently posted at locations throughout our sites.  The Bill of Rights will be distributed annually to students and will also be made available on our website.
