This month, SUNY Poly’s Title IX Working Group would like to highlight two important documents posted to the Policies and Procedures page of SUNY Poly’s Title IX website; Options for Confidentially Disclosing Sexual Violence and SUNY Poly’s Sexual Violence Response policy.
Options for Confidentially Disclosing Sexual Violence
This document provides contact information for support resources and explains how confidentiality applies to the different resources available to students. The document outlines which resources are considered Privileged and Confidential, and provides an explanation of the difference between Privacy and Confidentiality. The document also contains a section that explains how a request for confidentiality would be weighed by the SUNY Poly Title IX Coordinator if the incident was disclosed to a responsible employee of SUNY Poly.

SUNY Poly’s Sexual Violence Response Policy provides reporting individuals with their reporting options (both confidential and private), resources available both on and off campus, protections and accommodations that SUNY Poly can provide, and an outline of the rights ensured through the Student Conduct Process.
