TITLE IX on the 9th  

In the January Title IX on the 9^th post, SUNY Poly’s Title IX Working Group provided the campus community with an update on the progress of our training and education plan for the campus community.  The plan was developed in order to achieve SUNY Poly’s goal to educate 100% of both the student and employee populations on SUNY’s new Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Policies.  This month, SUNY Poly’s Title IX Working Group would like to take the opportunity to provide another update on SUNY Poly’s progress towards that goal.

To date, approximately 83% of SUNY Poly’s current faculty and staff members have participated in our Title IX and Sexual Harassment Awareness, Responsibility, and Prevention (SHARP) training.

Training sessions will be held throughout the summer and early fall for employees who are due to participate in the training.  Notices of these trainings will be sent directly to those whose attendance is required from the Title IX email:  TitleIX@sunypoly.edu.

The Not Anymore program will be completed at the beginning of the Fall Semester by new incoming students and those students who have yet to complete the training.  We will be providing updates on student participation rates at that time.
