Title IX on the 9^th

This month, SUNY Poly’s Title IX Working Group would like to remind the campus community of their reporting options for disclosing instances of sexual discrimination and interpersonal violence.

Per “Enough is Enough” legislation, reporting individuals have the right to make a report to the SUNY Polytechnic Institute, SUNY Poly University Police, local law enforcement, and or the State Police and to be protected by the institution from retaliation for reporting an incident.  Reporting individuals also have the right to choose not to make a report.  Regardless of an individual’s reporting decision, everyone has the right to receive assistance and resources from SUNY Poly.

Reporting individuals shall have the right to pursue more than one of the options available, such as pursuing SUNY Poly’s conduct process and the separate criminal process, or to choose not to participate in any of the reporting options.  Additionally, anonymous disclosures of crimes can be made to University Police via the anonymous witness form at:  https://sunypoly.edu/university-police/anonymous-witness-form.  Please note that this online system is not designed for immediate response.
