• If traveler is unable to find lodging within the maximum federal lodging per diem rate, they must submit a Request to Exceed Maximum Lodging Rates form for consideration before travel.  Documentation such as print-outs from hotel or travel websites showing the lodging rates for the dates of travel must be attached. 
• If Request to Exceed Maximum Lodging Rates form is approved, traveler should secure a room in a timely manner and not exceed the approved lodging rate.  Travelers will be held liable if the approved rate is exceeded.
