A study from the University of Michigan found that multitasking heavily can fatigue the brain, which causes it to lose the ability to focus. To learn how to disconnect, type Unplug from Technology into the search box in the upper right hand corner of the NYS-Balance homepage, scroll down to Articles, and click on Learn to Disconnect.

More Face Time, Less Screen Time. In-person social interactions are important for your mental health and, as some research is starting to show, for your physical health too. To learn more about the value of person to person interaction, type More Face Time, Less Screen Time into the search box in the upper right hand corner of the NYS-Balance homepage, scroll down to Articles, and click on More Face Time, Less Screen Time.
