Utica Observer-Dispatch: Mohawk Valley Meeting Industry Day

Global Meetings Industry Day is coming to the Mohawk Valley.

 

The cities of Utica and Rome, along with several local organizations, announced Monday that they will join forces with the advocacy coalition Meetings Mean Business to showcase the real impact that business meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive travel, trade shows and exhibitions have on people, business and communities.

“Hosting an event, convention or tradeshow stimulates the region’s economy by bringing in new visitors who stay in our hotels, eat in our restaurants, shop in neighborhood stores and bring new revenue,” Oneida County Tourism President Kelly Blazosky said in a news release.
Mohawk Valley Meeting Industry Day will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Marcy. The event will showcase are businesses, not-for-profits, local foods and beverages and tours of Quad-C.
