At a community forum on drugs, 12 speakers representing law enforcement, the justice system and the treatment community talked about how drugs affect their jobs and what their departments are doing to help

In Oneida County jail, 186 inmates admitted in 2013 were admitted heroin users.
Last year, 538 admitted inmates used heroin, Sheriff Robert Maciol said Tuesday night at a community forum on drugs at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Marcy. The forum, which was attended by several dozen people, was organized by The Genesis Group and SUNY Poly and hosted by WKTV.
