The Quad-C In February, it was announced that SUNYIT would merge with Albany’s College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering to create SUNY Polytechnic Institute. The move was just one more step in the progress of the area’s budding nanotechnology sector. The $1.5 billion Computer Chip Commercialization Center building, known as the Quad-C, is expected to be complete by the end of 2014, and to create 1,500 direct jobs and thousands of other indirect jobs as it ramps up.
