Utica Observer-Dispatch: Utica's lofts banking on nano jobs

I wanted to share with you the following article that was published by the Utica Observer-Dispatch:

 

The Computer Chip Commercialization Center, commonly known as the Quad-C, and the potential three fabrication plants at the NanoUtica site, could bring around 6,000 direct jobs and thousands of additional secondary positions.

All those workers are going to need a place to live.

That place could be Utica.

Ferris Betrus, the executive vice president of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce and an Oneida County Industrial Development Agency board member, served as chairman of the housing committee of county Executive Anthony Picente’s Vision 2020, a plan that brought together about 20 community leaders to look at issues facing the county and come up with game plans.
