SUNY Polytechnic Institute, known for one year and day as SUNY Pi, celebrated “Pi Day” at its Utica campus today.

Sodexo Food Services treated students, faculty and staff to free slices of Pi shaped pepperoni pizza.

Each year, scientists, mathematicians and students around the world mark “Pi Day” on March 14th.

The date, 3.14, is roughly the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, represented by the Greek letter Pi.
