WKTV: Actor Alan Alda featured first in Mohawk Valley speaker

ROME, N.Y. -  M*A*S*H and West Wing Actor Alan Alda will be a keynote speaker at the 2016 Project Fibonacci STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) Conference, happening July 31 through August 6.

The Beeches Conference Center in Rome is the headquarters venue. As part of the Project Fibonacci STEAM Conference Speakers Series, Alda’s address will start at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3 at one of the event’s offsite venues at the SUNY Poly Field House in Marcy. The actor and science communicator will present topics on The Art of Communicating Science. Alda is founder of Stony Brook University’s Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science and has hosted the PBS television series Scientific American Frontiers from 1993 to 2005.
