MARCY, NY - A symbol of opportunities for growth as a learning community: Students and faculty gathered at the Wildcat Field House this afternoon for the convocation ceremony.

Oriskany native - and the first female ever chosen to command Fort Knox - Major General Peggy Combs addressed the students as the key note speaker.

During her speech she urged students to grow their potential. Army Maj. Gen. Peggy Combs, says, “I truly believe everybody is born with a seed of greatness. It just takes some hard work to cultivate it. And I just hope every one of those students get in there and apply themselves and optimize their potential to its fullest.”

The class of 2019 is the inaugural class to graduate from SUNY Poly.
