WKTV: Could Google search engine changes affect your business?

I wanted to share with you the following article that was published by WKTV:

Google on Tuesday planned to change the way its search engine recommends websites on smartphones so that, whenyou search for something on your smartphone, the sites that Google defines as 'mobile-friendly' will show up first. Some local experts say that, if your business doesn't have a mobile-friendly site, it could be left in the dust on the information highway.

"They're going to get fewer hits. That's it. They're just going to get fewer hits. If they're not relying on the web to draw in traffic, it's not going to change much," says SUNY Poly Professor Steven Schneider.

"Google's just rewarding those sites who've made their digital presence mobile-friendly by moving them up in the search engines."
