(WKTV) - Mohawk Valley Edge gave an update Tuesday on Nano Utica development. As for the Marcy nano site, it's time to start phase one.

Edge President Steve DiMeo says that includes clearing the land and the construction of retaining walls, along with other plans, which could happen as early as October.

As for Quad-C, the computer chip commercialization center, construction is on time.

"The building is on target to be completed by the end of December -- that basically means the building would be ready," DiMeo said. "It's pretty much on schedule and every day you see turning a vacant site into our high-tech future."

Tuesday's progress report was given at the Radisson. The developers of the old HSBC building in downtown Utica also gave a presentation on Utica revitalization.
