UTICA, NY--SUNY Polytechnic Institute hosted a benefit film screening in honor of a nursing student who died in 2013.
The film "American Nurse" was shown as a way to highlight the daily work and lives of nurses. The screening was also a way to benefit the Melissa Saville Collver Scholarship Fund.
Collver was a nursing student and mother of two, who died unexpectedly at the age of 40.
Organizers said Collver provided care for many people and the event was a perfect way to remember her and continue her legacy.
