WUTR: Gov. Cuomo: 2,500 Jobs Coming to the Mohawk Valley

A major employer that once left the area is back - and an Austrian company will call the Marcy Nanocenter home.  Governor Andrew Cuomo making an announcement on Thursday that many have been waiting for.

"This is one of those moments, where i believe this is a transformative moment that will make an actual difference in peoples' lives for the entire Mohawk region for a long, long time."

Governor Cuomo announced on Thursday two businesses--ams and General Electric--will create 2,500 jobs in the Mohawk Valley.  ams is an Austrian company that will build a wafer fabrication plant at the Marcy Nanocenter.
