Student Expectations and Responsibilities
To remain enrolled in the ACE program, students must commit to fulfilling the requirements associated with ACE program membership.
- Register for a minimum of 15 credits per semester and successfully complete 30 credits per year
- First year students must commit to graduating in four years and transfer students must commit to graduating in 2 years, completing at least 60 - 64 credit hours at SUNY Poly
- Remain eligible for and accept all grants awarded from PELL, TAP, and/or Excelsior*
- Participate in required enrichment programming and activities once per month
- Attend up to 2 required advisement sessions per month
- Enroll in courses approved by an ACE advisor
- Note: ACE students must also discuss schedule changes or concerns regarding academic performance with an ACE advisor
- Seek tutoring or additional support when recommended by an ACE advisor
- Fulfill career related requirements assigned by ACE advisor or Career Services
- Keep in communication with ACE advisor, and provide any changes to personal contact information
Note: Students from mixed status families are now eligible to apply for NYS financial aid without completing the FAFSA. Students may also reach out to ACE staff to learn more about their options to apply for NYS aid.
