Welcome to SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s Student Accessibility Services (SAS)!

We are committed to building a campus culture of community, where accessibility is woven into our institution’s mission of equity, inclusion, and academic excellence.

The SAS team embraces disability as diversity. We recognize that barriers to access are created by policies, environments, and attitudes and are not an inherent feature of disability. Dismantling barriers and creating meaningful opportunities for full participation in campus life is our goal.

Our approach prioritizes equity over equality, ensuring students receive the individualized support they need to thrive. We accomplish this by engaging in an interactive, student-centered process that values collaboration with respect for every student’s independence and agency.  Following the student’s lead, we develop and coordinate accommodations and services.

Whether you use accommodations, attend our workshops, or work with us one-on-one to strengthen executive function skills, we are part of your support network at Poly and are excited to grow with you!
