
Chemical safety – handling, management, use, storage, and disposal are critical activities that impact the environmental, safety, and health conditions of our campus community. Anyone using chemicals on campus are expected to be trained in their use and handle them safely and according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Additional Chemical Safety related programs will be found in the Laboratory & Work Area Safety programs.
All new chemicals must be reviewed by Environmental Health & Safety PRIOR to being ordered or obtained. New chemicals should be submitted via this form: SUNY Poly Chemical Approval Request. Please allow up to 15 days for chemical requests to be reviewed. Additional information may be required and requested by EHS prior to approval.
