Student Services offers individual, couples, and group counseling. Group counseling is offered on an as needed basis. If a student is interested in a group please contact the Counseling Center and the counselors will work to find other students who face similar issues. Topics for groups can include, but are not limited to: grief & bereavement, conflict mediation, relationship issues, body image, returning adult concerns, self esteem and empowerment. The counselors can also offer trainings and workshops to student leaders on these topics as well as others by request.

Tele-psychiatry services are also offered at SUNY Poly through SUNY Upstate Medical University Department of Psychiatry. The SUNY-STCN program provides remote assessment, treatment planning, short-term psychotherapy and initial medication management to SUNY Campuses across New York. For further information about tele-psychiatric services please contact one of the mental health counselors at The Wellness Center located in the Campus Center upper lobby. All referrals for tele-psychiatric services are coordinated through the on-campus mental health counselors.
