Parking Registration
All students, faculty and staff who use campus parking lots are required to register their vehicles. A parking decal or temporary permit is required for all vehicles, even if the vehicle will only be used on campus for one day.
If you drive an unregistered vehicle on campus, please notify University Police by using a campus call box or calling 315-792-7222.

Students Not Registering a Vehicle on Campus
Students who will not be registering a vehicle on campus may waive the parking fee by completing the Parking Fee Waiver form and submitting the required information to the Bursar's Office.

Purpose and Application
SUNY Polytechnic Institute employees may be required to drive a University-owned, leased or rental vehicle as part of their employment. To obtain important information about the driving qualifications of employees who operate these vehicles, the University Police Department participates in the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles License Event Notification Service (LENS) program.
The LENS program provides information about a driver's current license status and certain license-related events. This information helps SUNY Poly identify potential driving concerns and support safe operation of University vehicles.
Employees who are required to drive a University-owned, leased or rental vehicle must complete and sign the LENS application and release form. Participation in this University safety program is required before operating a University vehicle.

The SUNY Poly campus features 10 parking areas, including five areas where overnight parking is available for registered vehicles belonging to individuals who work overnight or live on campus.
The campus parking map identifies parking areas, building locations and campus roadways. Printed parking information is also available from the University Police Department.

Traffic Regulations
New York State motor vehicle laws and State University of New York traffic regulations are in effect on University property. SUNY Poly also maintains traffic regulations specific to the campus.
