Media Policy

SUNY Poly’s Office of Marketing and Communications handles all media requests and promotes SUNY Poly’s news, in close coordination with faculty and staff. Anyone who is asked to speak with the media in relation to their official capacity at SUNY Poly should coordinate with this office (contact information below).

Should faculty, staff, or students receive any media inquiries, you are asked to immediately notify the communications team before responding. Working with the communications office will ensure an accurate and timely response, and comports with current best practice in academia and business.

This approach also helps SUNY Poly share the positive academic, research, and campus life news that makes SUNY Poly such an excellent institution. The Office of  Marketing and Communications continues to encourage and support the promotion of cutting-edge research, whereby faculty members can speak with the media to share their research-related expertise.

For more information, please reach out to communications@sunypoly.edu. Whenever there is a chance for a potential media interview, the communications team is happy to assist.
