Counseling Services, a vital component of the Wellness Center, assists students with life challenges that enhance academic success and personal resilience.
Services are covered under your health service fee; thus no charge is incurred by the student.
Counseling services are voluntary and by student request. Confidentiality is of utmost importance, and the counselor will only communicate with a parent/guardian if written consent is obtained from the student.
Students under 18 years of age will never be turned away. Parental consent will be obtained following NYS Mental Hygiene Laws.

- College transition issues such as roommate, relationship issues, adjusting to college life, homesickness, etc.

Crisis intervention services may be provided by our licensed counselors, with referrals to local mental health services for students at high or imminent risk of harm to self or others.
